Not up to date with the times
This app is just OK. (Again,as someone else said, Quicken Users beware- it is different) The envelope concept is great and is what really sold me. I think it will only work for a really simple lifestile.
- It is EXTREMELY difficult to use a credit card and a bank acccount. It is assuming you are paying cash for everything, which in this day and age is really out of date. I do a lot of autopays; but to accomplish this the options are either A) not track spending by category (which defeats the whole point of a budget) or Deposit paycheck and allocate to bank envelope then transfer to Credit Card envelope then pay my credit card and I have to allocate the spending when I make a large credit card.
- It is automatically linked to your Apple Address book - which for the life of my I cant figure out why. My address book is filled with personal firends. I dont usually get money from them.
- I have misc reimbursables from work. When I tried to make a one time deposit. You have to type in the amount twice because you have to allocate everything. It wont autosum.
-Setting up monthly autopays, such as my mortgage, was pretty confusing.
I really wanted a simpler program than quicken, my life is not that complicated. However, it is apparently too complicated for this program. If you can really use the envelope concept, with one bank account, it would be great.
